If someone comes here from wherever the fuck else, and just starts doing shit that has always been regarded as wack and herby (because it is) then people HERE aren’t obligated to be like “oh yeah it’s all good that this is horrible, because you came from a place where it isn’t.”

There has always been a reasonable accepted standard on RB when it comes to text battling, and that shit is not magically evaporating into thin air for the sake of inclusivity or participation awards. We tell a motherfucker to step their game up and elevate their writing. Same as it ever was.

And notice that the only two deluded mfs who voted for the parentheses breakdown abomination to begin with are the only ones still not understanding the point of having basic bare minimum standards to uphold with this craft.

The problem here as I see it is two fold. 1) The line should be worded simply and effectively enough that people get it on first read. 2) Lost ended 15 years ago, it’s no longer relevant. 3) Explanations and a reveal button at the bottom

This is a hobby for everyone else except you Lay. Stop trying to colonize rap/text academic standards when you haven’t even graduation university. Things have changed on RB dramatically since people like Archetype and Tim stop participating on this website. What you are taking about is standardizing and formatting so that everyone is a cookie cutter cut out of your lord and savior Blue Bayou. Shout out to Blue. This is an art form for artist, mind you. This isn’t curriculum, the only litmus test here is if our peers like to accept it. I’m one for change I’m one for innovation. An example of this is when I started doing Long bars when everyone else was doing short bars. Many of you hated on it. But I kept doing it anyways and it eventually was mostly accepted. Taking a glance at the last few months there was Jack, Reddit and Teefy I think his name was that all have long bars with their own style and flavor to it.

Texting is always limited, and the people trying to put more limitations on it are the ones who can’t think out of the box they are comfortable in. That’s why they quit mid battle because their tiny brains can’t fathom a world that doesn’t cater to them.

There is a certain level of standard and the fact that the veil has dropped is the pussification of the world that's been going on too long already. Need to improve your skills, get better and learn? Go read some old battles and maybe ask some questions about those battles or bars in a public forum hell it doesnt even have to be HERE. Go spend time calling out anyone in front lines or anywhere else on the net for years like most of us all did to elevate. That's the problem today.
