The cold and the dark pass by my thoughts
its like bad vs. worse:how they clash and fought
the pain and perserverence that is hittin my soul
and only lies, my whole life, i have been told
im not even thinkin bout what i did last week
i don't think about how shootin niggas up with heat
i think about the change that i must overcome
changin into a man, no longer a boy looking for fun
life is too serious, people die everyday
but to find happiness,you must feel pain along the way
only a true heart survives the coldness of reality
how can you survive when you have a low type of mentality
i spit like i never couldv'e imagined the shine
how i aim for legends and miss from time to time
if i put out my heart in these pieces
will i be old enough to know what happened in the future when i see this
or will i be able to find the happiness i longed for my life
because all i see is pain in hunger,in the world of daily strife
if i seemed to get shot and just pass away some day
would have you preferred to see me die, with my hair grey
cuz the pain of life may be too much for me too hold
how people become friends wit devils and their souls are sold
if ever the passing days seem to come to an end
could i depend on somebody to ever stay as a friend
if l ever seem to flow like i never did before
then died to find me angry still openin at heavens doors?
would you ever believe that i always take my drops seriously
because even now, to find happiness in someone,depends on money
but i am still lonesome always dependin to find a friend
i may not find one, so i may not find happiness at life's end
these people now are snakes, and the good happen to be prey
and it hurts me, when the pains of reality always slay
im shootin for legends because i will never want to be number two
i may try to be humble, but i still want to always do better than you
and when im in need whom will God send
because im lonesome, and all i want in life is a real friend
