Assets liquidated by the flood waters of Babylon pouring thru my stash

Corruption rings loud when network jerks ‘LINE’ contents for perks

I gotta feeling this references pretty much a vision of the future...well, one from our past, that is...We shoulda seen the shit coming, some did, but overall, the corruption that's before us was something society knew about, just never snapped to...never did anything about, prolly cuz we love living in bliss, even if ignorance is the cost.

This one was alot easier...basically with your "RatherGate", Crossfire bullshit (hooray for it's cancellation, BTW!!!), not to mention government/war/blah, blah, blah...the hippie/60's "revolution" attitude is back...and that scares certain corporate/media/& government entities cuz they really, in their own way, changed a nation/a nation's views back then...Cuz currently, everything "main stream", as you put it...is fed to us, we see it everywhere, in advertisments, commercials, it's fabricated to pretty much brainwash over time...and we don't care who we walk over to keep that going, rather it be our own nation or others we call allies to others we claim to be helping.

This one's more difficult...I cop that you're republican and pro "the way things are", but it seems you've gotta bit of Che in ya, cuz something's creeping in ya head and letting you know things kinda suck...Your assets, I'd imagine are/is your way of life, the shit you've aquired through the conventional way of thinking/your government job...you're being part of the system...but, it's going through a cleansing of a sort, a re-evaluation, kinda, cuz you're starting to realize the corruption around you...that corruption being information, news, and how it's given to us/more importantly, what's not given to us.

This one's goes into detail about the media, almost specifically Rather...also how stories that should be front page, aren't...for the sake of sales. How corportaiton big wigs control whats released and where it's released to ensure long dollars.

A summation...of how, because of technology, the net, other sources...the "Matrix" like world we're given, fed...is starting to unravel as more eyes open to the lies and corruption...basically, how it is, and will eventually, fall apart.

Nice play on "meteor" shower...to show the devastation capable.

Like you said, yourself...you're rusty, I've read better from you...well, I've read deeper, more emotional from you...wasn't much here in the way of emotion...more realization...awakening.

You nailed it man, you basically decyphered my message in a way I could only hope people do. You know much about me already so I incorperate that in my drops. It lets me say more by doing less. Yes you are correct this was more of a scolding/warning/awakining than an emotion filled drop. I did that purposely, since the message is more direct than some of my other drops. I could have spent more time on this and factored in all aspects, but this was a free write and I was very uncomfortable. I just hope people disect it as you have, props to you on that man. It makes writing for RB worth while. (Since it seems I'm writing for toher interests all the time)


Also thanks to text for taking the time to link my feed, I'm sure you're going to be a great addition to our site.

To be honest, some of the things BTK interpreted, I didnt catch or make connections too....

On the surface this was a good piece.....wordplay was good with the alarm/snooze, anchors/weighing down, and media/meteor shower....internals were good and kept your rhyming interesting, and vocab was good as always....

Looking deeper, I found a lash out against present day society....umm....I saw a reference to modern day hippies (Hardcore Democrats?) , and your opening, I think, is suggesting that there are many dangers to our country, but people ignore them...which is what happened on 9/11 come to think of it....

Good piece....as always, one must look deep to fins your true intentions in this piece...

most def had that intellect on lock. you came with complexity, and lowkey styles. nice perception, i enjoyed reading it. i was actually anticipating the ending. you have nice structure, cut the lenght a bit though. vocab was good, reasonable and unserstandable. mulit here and there. lets do a collab sometime.
