I think AMD is ahead of the game in CPUs I haven't even felt the need to fw the 9 series of the chips because the 7s are more than enough, If I was doing all types of wild shit I'd go up but I just game record, do graphics sometimes, and game from time to time. The GPU's are actually finally catching up NVIDIA was smacking the shit out of AMD on the RayTracing but its catching up slowly but surely...usually the launches are sketch but then firmware update happens and fixes it, my 5700 XT had issues at first and then got fixed fully like 2 weeks later. the new ones Idk because I haven't been looking at em since I'm good where I'm at rn for 1440p 165hz monitor.....No issues with my 7900 GRE at all, and I run it damn near everyday. I think the price difference isn't worth the performance difference between NVIDIA personally like 12-15% performance increase for a 30-40% price difference in some cases is not worth it to me.

I agree, I upgraded my Nvidia 3070 to a 5090 and while the performance increase is crazy I'm mad I still gotta even turn on frame gen shit to break 30 fps on cyberpunk at 2k maxed out. I understand a lot of the perf hit is cos of mods and path tracing shit but still, the price should mean this shit should be able to eat real life graphics at this point. I probably won't upgrade for another like 5 years but hopefully AMD will be smart and not try to copy Nvidia with the whole AI shit.

I don't know much about computers but I know my homie told me AMD is goated so I bought a bunch of AMD stock and that shit was pumping

your mans was smart tbh. I bought a bunch of Nvidia and it's doing ok but not doing AMD numbers. Then again, the time to buy stocks is always like a year ago. Right now the economy is a bit crazy which generally means it's a good time to start shopping.

minue bout 5 yrs old so due for an upgrade but i only rly play valo and cs so it performs well enough for now. might upgrade the GPU and CPU within the next two yrs

Dope, highly recommend you run some benchmarks first to see what the bottleneck is first. I once saved a shit ton of money just by upgrading my RAM cos it was killing my FPS due to lack of memory. Replacing a CPU after that long usually means replacing the whole motherboard which then means replacing the RAM and some other shit too so it's good to be sure.

yeah I have a bunch of NVIDIA too just in mutual funds/basically by accident. but as far as straight up stocks I have a lot in AMD now thanks to him, he's a day trader by profession and I go to him for all my picks, Idk what I'm doing otherwise lol I'm only good at a virtual game

He got you right. Biggest shit in my portfolio rn is MSFT which I picked up kind of early when it was in the $90 range though I only got like 11 shares of that. Then I got a few thousand from my company which was getting me like $100k when I first got hired then dropped a month later and now has me at like $11k lmao.

Yeah they're dropping now till the next releases come out then theyll stop making the shit you want to buy so they'll jump crazy on eBay which then causes the rest of the market to follow up haha.

Well we gotta lowkey hope fucking Intel steps there shit up for more comp in the GPU markey, they have been super slow with the development.. I get there is probably some patents and shit they can't get past which is why they are slow as shit right now in the game but man it would help a lot if they could take a leap.

Did ur 5090 come with the ROPS ? Some 50 series are missing drops and are under performing i can help u optimize without downloading anything getting 300fps on psycho 4k cyberpunk.

Yeah that was the first thing I checked haha. I do got some gnarly ass mods tho that kill FPS cos I had a lot of room to play with. Like the crowd density and dead or alive style titty physics.
