This is my current build.



Runs pretty solid. Even with the older 6700XT it runs most games just fine on high settings at 1440p

Some games like Cyberpunk I have to drop down to 1080 and adjust for smoother game play

I keep going back and forth on getting a 9070xt ... just hard to justify when I mostly game on my ps5 these days.

Just upgraded from a Ryzen 5 5600x and RTX 3070 to

Ryzen 7 7800x3d
Gigabyte RTX 5090 ice
Gigabyte B570 ice MB

I generally only play on my 2k OLED at about 120fps but this thing can usually hit about 50-75fps in Cyberpunk without FG. About 30-60 with graphic mods and reshade on most of the time.

Curious if you had any specific reason to go with the Z790 MB, when I was researching them I opted for the B series since I didn't think I'd use the extra bells and whistles.

Thanks I had to 3e print that fucker to the exact size and learn how to paint. I've got a bigger model I printed and wanted to paint so I was able to use the smaller one for color testing.

I just got a little Ferret Pro 3D scanner I been playing with. Just dipping my toes into 3d modeling to see how I feel about it. Just been modeling small dumb shit for now to get used to the software. Its fun, but im struggling to find a practical use for it.

I feel that, I went to school (FullSail) for game art so I did a good bit of 3d modeling in Maya and sculpting on Zbrush years ago (like 2011). I'm pretty ok at 3d modeling in Blender but its not great at building stuff to scale that you want to print. So I've been messing with Fusion to deal with measurements better. I just got a Galaxy S11 Tablet for Nomad and Krita and it's been amazing so far.

I had a RX580 when I first built it with a Ryzen 7 1700 CPU, 550w Power supply then upgraded to a 5700 XT and changed my main monitor to a 1440 ViewSonic, Upgraded my CPU few years later to a Ryzen 7 5800X with my power supply upgrading that to a 1050w(going on about 6 years now still doing its thing)...last year on prime day I upgraded my GPU again to a Red Devil 7900 GRE for like 450 buck with a case upgrade had Thermaltake V200 before this one, which is now a ThermalTake Ceres 300 Matcha Green edition, put in the ThermalTake AIO which is also Matcha Green...and then most recently upgraded to an OLED monitor. Upgraded all my accessories along the way too.

how the AMD GPU been treating you? I've always had NVidia but the pricing are getting out of hand. I fuck with Ryzen joints heavy but the GPU always worries me. With NVidia focusing on AI as it's main market I'm wondering if it's even worth the money anymore instead of going for a GPU that only cares about gaming.

I think AMD is ahead of the game in CPUs I haven't even felt the need to fw the 9 series of the chips because the 7s are more than enough, If I was doing all types of wild shit I'd go up but I just game record, do graphics sometimes, and game from time to time. The GPU's are actually finally catching up NVIDIA was smacking the shit out of AMD on the RayTracing but its catching up slowly but surely...usually the launches are sketch but then firmware update happens and fixes it, my 5700 XT had issues at first and then got fixed fully like 2 weeks later. the new ones Idk because I haven't been looking at em since I'm good where I'm at rn for 1440p 165hz monitor.....No issues with my 7900 GRE at all, and I run it damn near everyday. I think the price difference isn't worth the performance difference between NVIDIA personally like 12-15% performance increase for a 30-40% price difference in some cases is not worth it to me.

minue bout 5 yrs old so due for an upgrade but i only rly play valo and cs so it performs well enough for now. might upgrade the GPU and CPU within the next two yrs
