I got the QMS down, templates, all that. All the metrics are automated at this point. I even built databases in excel to handle everything from OTD & quality DPPM metrics to individual performance metrics, with annual competency assessments auto running off the metric data, shit's incredible. Had to replace about 6 key people too (they couldn't hack it with all the changes), so huge learning curve for the new employees. I'm almost there with my protege Sales Manager, once he's on his own that takes the entire department off my hands aside from the high level shit. I'm the management representative for the QMS too so I gotta get my compliance coordinator up to snuff so she can take all that off my hands. She was a receptionist, then purchasing assistant, then my personal assistant. Once I seen her potential I took her down the QA path now she's damn near a quality mgr. She will be soon. Still also my personal assistant tho, I ain't about to give that part up. I am running Sales, Marketing, Production, Warehouse, Quality, Procurement, Website, I do all my own hiring/firing. Wrote an app for our internal audit program, we literally do audits on tablets now. I fucking love the challenge, but I am almost ready to start doing more travel so I can spend more time at the Raytheons/Northrops/Boeings & shit. Spent some time at SpaceX last year, we are one of the primary suppliers for several major space companies. Want to see something interesting check out SpinLaunch. Throwing shit into space using centrifugal force.

Get away from excel, man. Start utilizing power BI. Everything can be done on there and is far more advanced than excel. Best thing I ever did career wise. It will suit you well, especially in your field as QMS is vital to a successful operation in the aerospace field.

It’s a very sophisticated tool that can perform everything you need on a single platform with data tracking, etc. you build the form, audits and reports and everything else is data entry.

Sounds like exactly what I built in Excel. People don't know how versatile it really is. But I'll check it out

You can do much more with power BI. Trust me, you and I have grown up with excel, power BI if used correctly and to its potential is far more sophisticated. It was hard for me to let go of excel as well until I acclimated myself with power BI.
