Instead of launching a new season of VBL, I propose having like 1 on an LES event at a time, that way voting won't be an issue and it can be presented in an appealing way.

That's what I stated earlier. Id personally do a promotional battle so it'd be less work to set it all up and easier to gauge whether or not it makes sense branching out into a full fledged league.

But I'm tryna understand why yall voters say expect me (a guy who's only been here 2 seasons) to know Kill Switch is played on him, but y'all same exact guys let him get away with a Detour nameplay on me that's played?

I know the Detour bar was two weeks ago but two weeks later when I battle the same guy, I'm reading the votes and it's like I'm expected to know what's been done on him prior to me being around.

I thi k the best way to sum it up is it's just the risk you take when you go the nameplay route...

I hear what you're saying, you haven't been around so sure you can't be expected to know, but at the same time you can't expect voters to just imagine not seeing it previously and expecting it to hit all the same

That's why in normal battles where I text rap at nowadays in my group, .. I try to stay away from Nameplays. But Everytime I ever did in the 1-2 punch league, somebody Nameplay me and end up winning. So I guess I got caught up in it to keep pace. But your right. It puts pressure on you to find fresh ways to do it if you don't know if they've been hit with it before.

Well, you have to be sensible. Look at my name, is there anything peculiar about it that makes you think perhaps that hasn't been used? Like, I see King in your name. Off rip I know there is already a King here. I look at his join date. Okay, so he's been text battling under that name for 20 years. Is there any chance of me being able to get away with a nameflip on him? Well, yeah. 2 ways. Is there anything of current relevance happening in the news cycle, pop culture, or entertainment that I can use as a way to flip his name? And how can I reinvent a nameflip using that. How can I make it my own?

If you can spin a fresh/dope concept with their name, it hits wayyy harder than any generic punchline that you can apply to anyone. At the same time if it’s already been seen, then it automatically loses its impact. All about your risk tolerance at the end of the day

I actually wrote about four different bars for Kill Spree this week. Two nameplays and two two non nameplays. One I ended up just using on the Facebook battle, the other two were too wordy so I just went with the 'Kill switch' one and I guess it cost me cuz I wasn't here for the other ones.

You're doing it right. You might have lost the battle, however you can make peace with that. What you should do is take that frustration, ball it up, then beat your wife with it.
