that relies on actually having been around for a long time, and that shouldn't matter regardless. why should someone be able to (i imagine the initial intention of an alias account is to keep your record clean) do such a thing, and in the process harm the culture?

Some alias' are to get a clean record, some were created during our alias tourney, some are for trolling purposes, and some @Amen just like to have 20 different accounts for no apparent reason.
This alias discussion shouldn't even be a discussion, I've never heard someone complain about alias' in my entire life... And the only people complaining are new people. Give it a fw months and you'll be more aware of your surroundings.
