@Lenox Everybody starts from somewhere. You have to read battles and learn how to develop a punch. That first step will take you a long way. Learn about wordplay, double meanings, etc. Try not to be so basic and generic with your lines. A lot of times it seems like you're so focused on making words rhyme than throwing an actual punch. Instead, think of a concept and figure out the rhyme around that concept. But like any style of writing, reading a lot will help YOU improve. Read other battles, older LLL battles, etc.

You should then get the idea of what RB likes and what not.

my advice is.. don't try to battle the best, you just take limitless L's for no reason. Battle people around your level so ya'll can develop rivalries. I had a few way back when I started, losing to big names a few times didn't really do anything ground breaking for me other then give me another L. I also battled on multiple sites at ones but I don't recomend that until you understand how to develop a punchline.

Wordz gave you a few pieces of really good advice, but instead of taking any of it you just immediately brush it off and assume you miraculously figured all the mechanics out just now.
