He was such a great man, devoted, took risks
Never in my g'fathers stories..
..was his character ever brisk

Alas..
..for the sanctions past have finally met their match
A man that held a soul among men trapped in iron casts
Set sail with multiple masts, lives depended on his wish
Cramming thousands of bodies over to the confindes of a list
& for those who missed the list, certain death was forseen
Met with the lips of death's kiss hoping it wouldn't have been
Such a sereen scene for those that seen, optimism in view
Only if you met this man then you'd eventually believe its true
Against a world dividing curfue, he rotered a stand still secretly
So many saved below those bastards nose, perfect & discretely
Did he meet me?..
..No, only my grandfather tells me how our saviour took a vow
To diminish this callous regime in so many ways that spelt now
But it took time & effort, our families couldn't really afford
At least his camp was non-terminal, which stayed above board
Then his reputation soared, "A camp where people stay alive?..
..a place for Jewish sanctuary for our loved ones to survive?"
The whisper spread for & wide, another hole for us to hide..
..& decide..
..whether we have the strength to live on, or curl up & die
A Nazi General taking suicide as an option, this is more or less
He'd never confess as this was in his heart the perfect & best..
..thing to do, most Nazi's didn't have a clue, yet a feeling
That would leave the german masses over-whelmed & reeling
A heaven sent dealing, the lord had finally seen enough
Of all the hate & killings that alligned to our lives a must
& with one last thrust, he pushed the masses of Jews..
..to a land beyond blessing where we were never refused
The situation defused, a lord galzed with platinum in his fist
Dented the re-write of history & then gave us Schindlers list
