Normally, I wouldnt go that in depth... but Punch literally just used EVERY cliche he could find... yet they have all been used a TON of times... I could have literally linked 10 uses of each cliche in that verse... but I got tired.

I thought Token's verse wasn't really Champion level... it was really disappointing to me... he didn't have any real punches that i liked, and most of his flips weren't hitting at all... i think punch had a couple funny lines, and definitely took this pretty easily... he had a better flow going throughout his verse and his concepts were just funnier and more fun to read.. i liked a lot of hte personals on toke that punch used about him having no life other than LLL, that was pretty good... token's verse wasn't flowing very well and i think most of his concepts were just straight weak... they didn't have any punch to them at all (no pun intended)... i don't know how you were champ for so many weeks by dropping a verse like this to be honest... punch's verse wasn't his best verse, but definitely enough to take the win here.. i think even he had a couple played lines, but he still pulled it off the win for me...

When I first read those two punches from Toke, I thought, damn.. there's the difference between a seasoned vet who is an excellent writer and Barcotic.. the complexity and wittiness is just phenominal.. and then I read that Walrus line and laughed my ass off. Just goes to show the comedy will always outshine the hard wit, and Barcotic really pulled off this upset not only by having a ROFL line (which Toke had zero of) but he was also less inconsistent on the lines that didn't hit.. and the recycling really did in Toke's verse imo. I hate seeing the same lines from a couple weeks before on a different opponent.. it just sours the whole read.
I've never seen the T-Rex line so there's no impact lost for me.. and it was a hard punch.

not gonna go line for line for you guys, you guys are vets dont need a breakdown for each punch, but i will quote the lines i liked the most from each verse with little comments in between.

so far i liked the opening bars for u token, but i think the first couple of lines could have been worded better for more effect.

i liked the "original line", i had to read it a couple of time before i decided to quote it, i thought it was clever, but could have been better worded again.

i liked the controller line the most, i thought it was mad creative, some people may disagree but it had great flow, wordplay and i doubt anyone has ever used a concept like that.
now honestly i dont like when people recycle their lines even when the opponent doesnt show, i realize the league allows it but i personally dont like to read a line i had already read before. with that said i REALLY liked the "aids" line. i still thought it was credible enough to quote and get props on.
not the best i've seen from you toke, but the lines i quoted were standout lines nonetheless. flow and wording was a little off in some areas, which is definitely uncharacteristic of you... but i did enjoy the read as a whole.

these were pretty dope too, the Smoka line was a major standout for me, thought it was funny as well. the hives punch was dope, well worded and flowed nice..
overall i think u had better wording and flow to your verse, you made ok lines standout and turned good punches into dope punches. but you did use more cliche-ish lines, which is cool if its not overdone and flipped nicely...
ok this is the tuff part, i think Token was a little sloppy this week, i think he had the better quotables, but i think Punch was more consistent. and really seemed like he wanted it more... well after reading both verses again i think i like Tokens quotable/standout lines slightly better than Punches, they were just more creative..
