It was a sunday afternoon,about 2:15
everything was silent,cool breeze blowin through the trees
not a cloud in the sky,crystal clear like a diamond ring
freshly cut grass I could smell,as the birds sing
I felt like walking,so I told my uncle I'm out to stroll
Southern State,so my Uncle replied remember the places not to go
I said ok and proceeded out the front door
took along journey,not knowing what was in store
Raised in Chicago,14 years old visiting the south
where many colored folks brutially murder from speech out the mouth
as I walked,I found a group of boys hanging out infront a store
I introduced myself with a handshake,an started talking to the four
I told them where i was from,even showed them my girlfriend
they said, "What!" a white girl,thats not true man
I said yes,so they dared me to talk to the women inside
picked up some candy an brought it,said bye baby with pride
later that night,I returned ate supper and went to sleep
suddenly two men entered the room,kidnapping me
didn't know what to do, i was scared, so i screamed
but that was muffled, all i hurd was my heart beat
words repeated, stupid nigger, stupid nigger
hittin me in the face, the bumps grew bigger
suddenly a stop, stranded by a barn
beaten with blows so powerful, I was weak in the arms
then a shot in the face by a shotgun, as if the beaten wasn't enough
they scooped my eye out,tied me up and put me in the back of the truck
drove to the mississippi river, tosed my mangled body overboard
there I layed 14 years ol, but in the south just another dead nigger boy
