stingers rest inside me wondering about that family
while happily the news skips to dolphins swimming
trimming the facts to back a rehearsed class act
no sadness intact, just snakes with hair combed back
not like sports I pro-act, do and just not say
change the way peter jennings must relay
stay true to the cause, rock for liberty not applause
a clause to robot reporters must exist no shift or pause
they skip topic to topic emotionless in suits
dispute nothing the prompter is all that computes
repute characteristic characterize these characters
they fake glare as we stare without care at him or her
centered on senselessness our society has gone numb
some t.v. personality’s telling me if I am smart or dumb?
Those machines get force fed through earpieces
watch peace cease and let our worse fears leash us
scare tactics and color codes cannot fool me
I know this is simply another ploy for ratings
im not debating I am really playing some hardball
I will charge all until this house of cards falls
appalled how they flash from a grieving mother
switch to another island cast off or bachelors brother
shudder at the thought of our nation being in this state
irrate that desensitization has sealed our country’s fate
contemplate another way to escape the media circus
but clowns will give news about nothing reguardless

good drop djb...a well chosen topic,but i feel you could've gone a little deeper in this,touch more aspects on the issue.anyway,felt this...i was thinkin to drop one on this subject but from another perspective,but didn't feel like writing it...back to you.liked your flow(more multis would've made it better,but it's still good),good structure and vocab.nice emotions and ideas in it.overal a nice read.fav part:

I liked the topic, you had some good ideas. The piece flowed nicely, and there was vocab scattered throughout. You were descriptive in your concepts, which helped developed the story. I thought the rhyming was good, supported the flow well. You out emotion in the verse, nice drop.
