To be fair, it was more than two lines which is part of the issue.

But on a serious note, it’s obviously not just about that one isolated bar. It’s about nipping some bullshit like that in the bud rather than ignoring something that in my (and others) viewpoint is problematic to this craft, as it pertains to the caliber/standard of writing that’s been established on this site over all these years.

That kind of style and wording and lack of a punch in general is clear regression, and to actually receive votes in our leagues here is gross. As I’ve stated before, some degree of objectivity does exist at a certain point when it comes to this shit. So you’re gonna run into resistance trying to Big Lebowski motherfuckers who know better on some “yeah well, you know.. that’s just like your opinion, man” type nonsense.

You could take any of the dopest heads from any of the main/best sites and text battle leagues when this shit existed in its most prolific era, and they would all agree. That is evident in their writing and verses. So stop trying to reinvent the wheel. It got designed that way for a reason. The evolution has already occurred.

An example of this is when I started doing Long bars when everyone else was doing short bars. Many of you hated on it. But I kept doing it anyways and it eventually was mostly accepted.
