Im not really mad, just tryna bring something different to the league. Bored of everyone doing the same thing as everyone else week in week out I guess. We both know im not winning this week, but its like I said - I dont mind catching 10 consecutive losses if it means people change the way they think a battle verse should be set out. I mean, yeah - my verse had no direct [i]punchlines/i], BUT it has a rhymescheme and multi-string to it that not a lot of people can pull off successfully, and that IS dope. I just want people to realise there are other qualities that make a battle verse dope, the focus shouldnt be solely on the punchlines. If I achieve that, its goal accomplished, and I dont mind catching a couple losses if it means other heads elevate.

Cam, I see what you're sayin about peeps comin with the same "part of opponent's name" shit. But I think you're wrong about the rest. A battle verse's about how you embarrass ya opponent and that's what punchlines do. Nowadays most peeps can pull off a good rhyme scheme that's not the challenge. The challenge is to combine a punch AND dope multies. No one's gonna give ya props in a battle for just good rhyming alone.
Look at Spit's or my verse this week, both had multies, ok no inner rhyme for me, but still multies AND punches. No one's gonna change their idea of what's dope just cos you write a few "different" verses and take some losses. Basically if peeps laugh and peeps are entertained, they'll like ya verse, and for that ya need some harshness over everything else, otherwise go and do topical. Peace

Meeks, I hadn't read ya shit before so that's why I decided to break this down even tho the battle is obviously over. You came kinda inconsistent, but ya seem to have a lot of promise. You had a lotta witty ideas, some really funny shit in ya verse, the Ahids and challenge lines were funny, the opener was solid and haven't seen a fetal line. Some boring statements in there too though.

Cam, I've been following your points and I see where your coming from, but if your gonna make a point like that, you shoulda continued to post old style verses instead of just giving up. Hopefully you'll try next week.
