    I-Pods

    who uses I-Pods???
do you think they are worth the money?

and do you think that mp3 players will make CD's obsolete in some way....i mean you can put the amount of music from 100s of CDs on one I Pod....its just so much more efficient..but how would artists sell music that way?

Then why post in this thread? If I see more stupidity from you, I will ban you from Emcee Interaction.

Anyway, my cousin has one of these things, and I think it's pretty cool. I'm not sure I would spend that much money on it though, as I'd rather spend money on more important things than a portable mp3 player.

Ipods are dope. You do know they are also used as a external hard drive. Any file format can go on there for transfer.

SO you can transfer a tonne of shit.

    but 40 GB for $600.00, plus it's an MP3 player.....not bad

    Better than YOU.

I have one..I used to use MD's but..I bought an I-POd last year and it's mos-def worth it..you never have to worry about changing discs or running out of room on your mp3 player..plus you can trick it out and use it as an organizer~

My teacher has a 20 GB one.....and if you aren't using it to store files and such from your computer, there really is not point in getting the 40 GB. I mean, think about it, are you really going to put 40 GB worth of music on your iPod? You wouldn't be able to keep track of them all.

My teacher has about 2 days worth of play time on his iPod already and he has barely even used a fraction of the memory. He also bought this speaker set for the iPod and damn, does that thing get loud.

I got an MD player for doing some work for somebody. Was going to get an iPOD like thing, but had problems with stock.

Was actually by Ministry of Sound. 30GB. About the size of the new Gameboys. 10 hour battery life (which you is maybe 7 hours with higher volume). And recharges in an hour (due to lithium battery). It weighed a bit much. But only a bit. And i heard the iPOD is lighter anyway.

It's meant to be a bit slow at times. As it has a harddrive in it. And can sometimes make noise which'll interfere with sound. Though once again, may not do so in the iPOD. But worth checking out to see if it does.

iPOD looks good. Feels good. And is ergonomic in design and size. But navigating arond it is a bit akward. They say you can't scroll through tracks without listening to them. So instead of going through them and THEN selecting them. You scroll through and each one you select plays.

I wouldn't pay money for one of these. Well, not the amount they ask. The minimum they ask that is.

But hey, it depends on how much you're prepared to pay. And how important carrying so much music around is to you.

I pod is a decent buy if your looking to spend the money. Beat the heck out of the conventional cd plaer. I would suggest any MP3 player over the purchase of a portable CD player... Mini disc are nice too, but they are a bit old now. I go through personal music players like shoes now a days. Each time one is released with advanced features that I need, I cop it, and kick the older one down to my daughter... I must have like four just waiting on stand by, in case of loss or damage, I am not without my tunes. I go thru gadgets like chicks a do purses... Tech-E-4-Life...

I think it is a cool idea, but I am a huge fan of cds.
I just think it is an awesome concept in general.
I still listen to tapes, and records...well, I did, until the belt on my turntable broke.
The Art Of Cover Art (shaddup) has already been lost due to artist laziness and music download, so it really saddens me to see cool technology like this.
Soon, with this shit advancing, we will lose the art of creating the perfect mix-tape too.
What a sad thing change and evolution in technology is.

But then again, I don't have over a hundred bucks at any given time, so maybe thats it =/

Unreplacable? You sure? Cos i'm sure you can get lithium-ion batteries from most shops. Unless it's some other advanced kind which is fixed onto it.

Unless you're saying they claim you'll never have to replace it. Which is a blatant deception. Unless, as said before, it's a more advanced type of battery. But even then...
