appreciate the feedback. you made a good point mindless, i dont have a backup 2B.. weird.
i think one of my biggest issues is not knowing who's hyped to do what or who is a promising prospect/rookie.
im always talkn to people in the mocks, and it seems the common strategy is to go for batters first the majority of the time, and stock on pitchers late-ish. like, most ppl have 60-70% of their offense done before focusing on relief and starting pitching. they might have 1 or 2, but yeah. everyone has their thing.. im just tryn to find what works for me.

I wouldn't worry too much on hype and expectations/predictions. Thats always hit or miss because they're just projections, some more founded then others, but still fallible. For your first time around I'd mainly go with guys who are solid and consistent year in and year out. That way you can judge directly from the stats of the past couple years and seen what they've done, how they've progressed and all that. Then once you get familiar enough with that you can start making your own deductions about where a guys career seems to be headed and if you feel he'll get better or drop off this season.
MLB.com usually does a season preview show with fantasy advice that you can grab on itunes. Or if you have MLB network on your TV then they're doing a 30 in 30, breaking down all the teams, projected lineups, pitching rotations and all that. Even yahoo sports fantasy section should have a decent amount of vids to get you up to speed if you haven't checked those out yet.
You still got two weeks. I'm more worried about this other guy Stylized then you lol.

well what i feel really hurts me is knowing who to grab in the deeper part of the draft. like, in the nfl fantasy draft i snagged lesean mccoy and mendenhall .. hit or miss players, but i knew they were playn behind questionable starters with injuries, etc.
i just need to familiarize myself with even simple things like how likely is it that a starting rotation can change based on performance, matchups, etc. who's who when it comes to being canidates to steal starting gigs from aging vets/players, injury prone players, etc.
^^ on top of reasearching basics, im tryn to find the best place to gather information like this... in 2 weeks lol.

bad.... HR's and Pitching won't count for shit, you need BA to win in our formate remember that and you can only draft form AL or NL depending on how you are divided up in the fantasy league so if you're NL you have to go all NL.

Wait what?! Smoka never said anything about only being able to draft players from the AL or NL according to what division your team is in. Besides even if we tried to do that you know someones going to fuck it up or someones autopick who doesn't show will mess it up.
I kinda like the idea, just don't think it'd work.
