I just meant random battles in the sense that they weren't all champ matches, i got the impression they were just some of your best battles. which is dope and i need those too, but in order to make a nom i gotta post ur resume with it, and in order to do that i need links to anything/everything u've won or got to the finals of.

so yea i'ma sit here and tell u i need links to champ matches lol. unless ur telling me those are the only champs matches u've ever won. u never won a tourney or anything else? everything is in those links? if they are, word I'll go to work. I assumed that wasnt everything.

Nah there’s other shit, I was a pretty high volume battler for a good few years but I don’t remember everything and wasn’t about to spend even more time digging through pages and pages of archives. I think I only ever competed in one tourney, The Gauntlet II? Which was like 64 people deep or some shit and I lost a debatable to Quote in a 3-way in the Finals aka like round fucking seven lol.

But like I said already, I don’t think tourneys and participation through entire LLL seasons should trump skill and peak performance, particularly when there’s still a large enough sample size to make it fairly obvious what’s up.

I remember Lay Doubt being as good as the other old heads who are in it. Text battles don’t age well though so it’s difficilt to base an argument off 10 year old links.

I really only brought up Packed Graves to illustrate the caliber of verse I put together after a half decade hiatus from writing altogether. Wasn’t trying to name drop him and shit.

I agree about it being tough to present-day analyze old ass battles, but it’s still fairly easy to peep votes and use common sense to gauge how it was received at the time and the overall impact of someone etc. Along with gathering a consensus from heads who were actually around back then and can recollect on my status.
