After giving it some thought...honestly, I wouldn't do that.
I feel like the rules have been stated and you wanna be consistent
Plethora already violated the bar by bar breakdown rule we have in FL and Authentic won the FL champ battle because of it, as of result of inconsistency in the rules.
I think whoever is left at the end deserves everything they are supposed to get. Their win, accomplishment and medal.
What it does is reduce the meaning of those things, tho. It doesn't serve as an incentive for the winner or the loser.
So, after this tournament I'd keep FL lowkey until activity picks up again. No sense in having more events like this where the participants don't show.

And if there was one other thing I'd give to 143 and KnowP as a piece of my opinion and advice for how leagues/tournaments should be conducted, it'd be this quote I just made:

I created a new thread for y'all battle. As for not being able to see in the other thread, I logged into your account and was able to see the thread but none of KnowP's post. I'm assuming it because of the blind feature with the battle hack and I will be adding this to the list of bugs we have uncovered
