I felt the same way push.. Believe me though keep at it and there will be that moment when the sun shines on you and the choir goes "aahhhhhhh" (dunno if thats how u spell it) and you'll be like Eureka! Thats the moment when you'll click and you'll start to understand how to form your concepts and such.
PS it may be harder for an audio head to text cause your styles already somehwat set in stone, but I believe getting good at text will help your audio as well for the technical lyric aspect anyway
