Yea, true. But by now, even some I think are clever AF I get "played" in votes. Played is also a gray area, IMO. If you're battling someone and use a somewhat "played" concept, but flip it nice and it applies to who you're battling, it should be a pass. Not every time obviously, but the good flips.

This was already discussed, tbh. Half of these faggots see certain words used and don't even read the bar, they just put "Played". For the most part, they just put played too try and justify their vote. There are certain concepts that have been done to death tho, and no matter how you flip it, it's been done lol.

I don't know Ive still seen rags to riches lines that were nice even though the concept is played.. stepping stone lines and even my "this battle is a gag" punch I trew on Orc.. Im sure its played but I worded it well.

yeah I remember in 04 when I first started, the cum/come and defeat/da feet lines were already played as fuck.. then around that time it seemed like you could still get away with seaman/semen lol.. now the "whats played" rule seems to take over entire phrases. I vote pretty strict tho honestly.. some of the lines I don't quote are still good.. they just aren't the best bars on that verse which is what I look for when voting in the league and tournys so my voting criteria may look a little weird to dudes who read it.
