This I disagree with. When it comes down to it, there are only so many things you can actually insult someone for. Fat jokes, like anything, can still be funny and effective, provided they have something that still seems fresh or inventive. It's tough bu doable.
I mean the ultimate generic insult is just calling someone wack in a creative way. When it comes down to it, it's not much different from calling someone fat.

I did get sort of irritated by GoW's vote on my battle for bringing the whole site bias theory into it. I don't think what he posted would have influenced anyone's vote or whatever but it felt kinda cheap to me.
so why are people with legit, funny, creative punches getting written off as "played" or "seen it"? I know what your saying, but there are people in the battles I mentioned above that literally went from "dope" to "played" back to "dope" in 3 weeks. C'mon, that shit is obvious and it's all over.
the fact is in text almost everything is played aside from a recent personal or current event punches.

Well, not everyone who voted on Arch's battle praised all of his fat lines. Most probably only quoted two at most. This is a difficult thing to discuss because at base you're trying to second guess taste. All these punches are different, even if they have one thing in common, and they vary wildly in quality. But we'll all have different favourites. For instance, I didn't much care for Arch's Pull Bitches line, but some people preferred it to the Weight of the World one, which I thought was the best of the lot. The nature of this debate is just such that, even if sheep voting and dickriding are in considerable effect, it's really difficult to clearly show that that's the case.
