    Under Da Cover Collab Sampler

Here is the sampler from the mixtape project i put together this summer. It's finally done. A couple people backed out of the line up at the last minute so I decided to fill their tracks with some classic drops instead of just leavin it blank. Thanks to everyone that made tracks for this and those of you who donated previous drops.

Soe cats on this shit ripped but why pay to get the shit professionally pressed if there's jacked beats on it. Know what I mean I aint trying to bring you down but I jus can't see what would be the point of that. I may buy this I don't know.

every mixtape is like that tho. when you buy a cd from mixtapes.com its professionally pressed. thats just how its done. its less about makin money and more about puttin out somethin that everyone can enjoy. People appreciate when you put a lot of effort into stuff like this and I put a whole lot of effort into this. i designed all the cover art for the cd and I spent a lot of time in the mixing process. I contacted a lot of people to be on this. So I also wanted my first music project to be something nice to be able to keep and remember. The artists on here all deserve the good quality representation of their work as well.

All said and good but pressing cd's is not a cheap thing and dudes on the net are know for not to buying shit. Most cats get the bootleg version or nothing at all. I WOULD see logic in it if it was moving units (Enough to break even) or possibly getting in the hands of someone big but that's not gonna happen most likely. A producer would listen to a cd and hear one cat he didn't like and discard the whole cd without futher thought. Let's be real not everyone came super dope on this( I aint saying some cats came wack) But I could see how someone would say one of these cats were weak. But I don't hate a person doing his thing good luck with the shit.

dawg it costs a few dollars a cd to get it pressed. I only ordered 100 copies and a quarter of them are sold. I'm gonna need to order more to sell at shows. You can normally sell about 20 per show in a small club. and I rep a pretty large city where peope love mixtapes and underground hiphop. plus these will sell locally from other artists on the cd. I will break even and then make a small profit which might or might not pay for the time i spent on this. But like i said, money isnt the issue here.

Never said it was a issue dowg and I know how much pressing cd cost dowg. You must not be mistaken what I'm saying for something else. because the fact if get all the tracks professionally mastered and copied and covers and all that shit is not cheap. you're not gonna get a good engineer who gonna charge less than 30 a hour and you got 22 fucking tracks EQ'ing is not excatly something that's done in 2 seconds ether (well atleast a good job) and the clubs ar to edge swords yeah you'll sell some there but on the other hand it cost to rent the shit. Also you got to pay the dj too shit isn't cheap no matter what way you look at it. I've been at this shit for a minute dowg I know how the shit is...

o aight i got you... no i put in all the time mastering the tracks the best i could. yea youre right. now we're on the same page. Theyre not professionally mastered. I wouldnt put that kinda money into this. i paid to get the cd pressed and the artwork professionally printed but i didnt give the tracks to an engineer. that would be a waste of money considering more than half the tracks were done in home studios. I did all the mixing and mastering in a home studio.
