I dont see why not? Rushing 40 posts to get there seems more of a spam hazzard to me. I dont think the amount of posts a person has should determine a persons ability to participate in a pass-time hobby.

It's simple to get 40 posts in a week and a half time frame without spamming. And if we let people that just joined in, 99.9% of the time their going to be inactive and not show

That's not true at all, in any tournament there will always be no-shows regardless of post count, if anything the fact that I have less posts would give me more desire to prove something being a fresh head. I have a family dawg I do this for fun because thats what its for, I dont post because I have no desire/time to. Not because I suck. In any sense, why not just sign me up and if I dont have 50 posts take me out? I would have 50 posts from the tournament alone without the extra filler posts. But I'll see what I can do.
Plenty of time to get 50 posts. A lot of users join, think they wanna join tons of tournaments and leagues, then are no shows 2 weeks later. Show your active and going to be active, and you're in.
