How could I work on my voice?

I want to perfect a decent voice for recordings.

Could any of you suggest, how to approach this?

Which, or what kind of exercises are we looking at here? Thanks.

    Ahhaha :P It's cool, I know she's bum.

But, any techniques? What kind of practice do I need to perform to get better? I'm still in need of help.

Drink a hot beverage while your in the studio... coffee..tea..etc.
Make sure your using your whole voice when you spit no matter what.
Before you record.. rap one of your favorite songs a few times as if you were recording it to warm up your vocal chords. This is my own personal technique....but it helps alot.
    Enjoy.

    Aight, I see...

I'm still young, I mean coming on to 16...I'm talking in the long term. I want my voice to be perfect, until I'm older and recording. Give a lil' more advice to a niglet like myself :P. Just something I can do on a daily basis?

    you mean rapping or singing?
for rapping, rap with emotion but don't get too excited. rap like you know what you're doing and really feel the lyrics. it's like talking to someone and trying to make them believe you

I mean rap, obviously we all got a voice...but to rap? I need to practice, to tone it for my liking. That's what I'm asking, how could I accomplish it. Or can you not do that? Is it a matter of coming to you naturally, you're saying? In some cases, yeah. But, there's always room for improvement...and I'm not sure how to improve, if no one tells me. That's why I'm asking.

Re: How could I work on my voice?

I found out today from a friend...Apparently, you can help your voice by getting some honey...and sprinkling some pepper onto it, then swallowing...but do it slowly. That's what I've been told, but that doesn't answer my question. I just thought I'd share it with you lot, since my question concerns the voice. Again, I should mention...I'm look for some advice on exercises of the voice. Do any of you know any?

    Coo...and thanks.

Re: How could I work on my voice?

Well...just on a general basis...I'm still young, I'm sure my voice is still changing...But I just want my voice to be strongly and clearly presented, and perhaps, you could tell me some lip exercises, as well as the voice...that will help me deliver swiftly. At the end of it all, it's down to how I sound on the mic. I'm a beginner in terms of recording...but my friend says I need a lil' work on my voice...I'm not sure about that, but I took that into consideration anyways because regardless, I just want it to be perfect...for when I become serious about recording. I just want to be able to rap, but practice a fluent and comfortable voice for myself, that will sound decent to any listener.
