It's probably been overplayed, but I wanted to try to do a couple verses. I'll drop the first today and hopefully add the next 2 in the next few days.

Tribute to Haiti

I sing to you Haiti, a tribute to the mighty,
The fighting people who all want one thing,
Something that would keep their hopes up and hearts pumping,
The popes up and pacing and already he's been wondering,
Sounding the alarms from Canada to Vietnam,
From Obama to Gordon Brown, even assholes like Saddam,
But the most vital part is played by people like my mom,
Kindness sparks so we gotta donate for tomorrow,
No more sorrow in the eyes of Haitian boys and girls,
I get sick when I see it, my stomach just wretches and curls,
Just looking into their eyes, they've got no hope,
They've been ripped apart, like a jailee dropping soap,
Barely trying to cope with the destruction of their lives,
Their hearts must be pierced, man it's gotta feel like knives,
It's all signs pointing to 'em, we need to lend a hand,
Right now it looks like sand, but let's help and build something grand

An earthquake shakes Haiti and we can't counter this?
Perhaps it might be that we're all powerless?
She snaps her fingers and snap we're hindered,
Mother Nature snaps and we ain't got crap to send her,
No nukes, no bombs, nothing with which to counter,
We can all kick, bitch, throw a fit but we can't pound her,
We can't down her, we gotta accept that she's the power,
She's the one who decides our lives and fate,
Just look at Haiti and see what I'm trying to state,
And this was only a taste, man I feel like waste,
Just thinking about with what we're gonna be faced,
Man if this was a line that I could have traced,
If I could've raced and won this rabbit race,
That volcano from Iceland? It'd be erased,
If I could've chased, if only I kept pace,
But it's too late, this shit's gonna bite us in the face.

died*....and im not too keen on this topic, i think its fucked up how new orleans was left to sit in its own flooded shit for weeks before they started to help... but Haiti, a shit hole that is more or less 1 big ass ghetto/3rd world coutry, that doesnt normaly look to kindly on forigners, and a place where tourism is discoraged uless you stay in the compounds of your hotel complex... the whole fucking world rushed to help... sorry lol but this pisses me off, its politics, so expect political feedback....

I get your point man, but ppl probably rushed to Haiti because they wanted to avoid another New Orelans-type of disaster. I still think it's shitty that they didn't come to New Orleans, but man...300,000 people died in Haiti, their whole infrastructure fell. It's bigger than New Orleans I think, I've been there and the pictures from Haiti look a lot worse.
