Trunks was cool when he killed Frieza and then he spent the rest of the series getting beat up by someone.
And for the record it's unfair to mention how "cool" any DBZ character is if you haven't watched it in it's original Japanese version.
I was a Trunks fan as a kid, but now that I'm older and watched DBZ in it's original dubbing Vegeta is definately my favorite character.
And Gohan sucks.

Either way Vegeta, and Evil Buu where the two best charecters throughout the life of the show.
Although Mystic Gohan was by far one of the most badass forms I ever saw. His demenor had completely changed which made that form memorible.

I didn't like the Japanese dub at first, but as I continued to watch the show it grew on me.
A lot of the dramatic scenes don't even have music, which enhances it that much more.
