    Yes, it is funny.

It also pisses me off when people say "Koran" and "Moslem".

    It's "Qu'ran" and "Muslim".

    I say it moslem.

It's how Tarzan said it. It's how it says in my dictionary (Written in the thirties.) It's how I learned it.

If it makes you feel better, I refer to Native Americans as Indians, and ethnic folks as colored people.

I do not feel I'm being racially insensitive, it's just how I learned it. Back in my day, teachers taught their students 'indian' and 'colored'. They never taught us 'moslem' or even 'muslim' because this is America and Americans don't know anything about such folk. Of course, the same could be said about pretty much anyone else.

Never taught nothing about the war of 1812 neither. Except what year it happened, and that American fought in it. (Which must mean America won.)

People tend to learn alot of things incorrectly, especially if educated on it in public schools, but that's no excuse to keep doing it when they are corrected.

And sometimes people just say shyt wrong to be funny.

Like this broad who used to say: SALAMI and BACON was the Muslim greeting.

Yeah if you say it fast it sounds like it but come on mayne.

Dingy chicken head broad at that...*smh*

    Hmm. Steveontrial is an idiot.

Anyway, going back to somebodies point about the mispronounciation of Yahweh and Yeshua, I've heard a good explanation for this. Early roman scholars and the like viewed these words as too holy to pronounce without it being blasphemy, so in the religious texts they wrote, they deliberatly misspelled it in order to prevent themselves, and the priests that read the works out, sinning in some perceived way. I don't see what the problem would be myself, but then I wasn't alive during the dark ages.
I'm surprised they didn't delete me ages ago...
