My how times have times changed, nobody thought they would
Anybody who thought so were interpreted as misunderstood
From the hood to every ghetto, everybody is getting a hello
Mood`s are mellow, but yes, violence is still a paper route for fellows
But it`s like, I`m having these flashbacks of the depression crash
Stock market collapsed, Pearl Harbor attacked, revenge for that
Catching Visions of the incions, reading the scripts on the monolith
'I Have A Dream', King still gleams w/ his message that used to hardly hit
Everybody free ? No, some living in his dream and can`t escape
Some say it`s fate, but I hate to break such news that`s hard for some to take
We still have wrongs refusing to be right, songs not truely write
Because if they`re written truely then kids could cope w/ the fight
Not tonight, nor tomorrow, but greener pastures are relapsing for relaxing
People are mapping their own satisfaction for a post Bin Laden
And war celebration, moral elevation, thoughts on determination
Send the troops home, we don`t need oil for economy recooperation
This is the way I see it, the way it comes across, how it`s interpreted
I hope we can see the light and stop families from hurt again
It`s at the end of the tunnel, we best no fumble or we`re humbled
And everything we ever dreamed about in the past becomes a mere mumble
Come one, come all, to witness a culture`s struggle through a political bubble
Nothing is ever the prinicle of the thing `cause even a pricipal`s trouble
I`m serious, we nearing this, dark hole that`ll cover all of society
For noteriaty, killers run to mobsters and plead "Please hire me!"
We die and then breathe, a sigh of relief, leaving this world at peace
Nope, most leave the world through a piece, homicides can never cease
We can`t increase awareness when no ones aware of present problems
And presidents scratch they balls, itching for a way to solve all of um
But they never figure it out, IT`S WAR, we can`t have this shit no more
But any thought of a plan we had that didn`t include settling scores
It`s treated like a unwanted individual and kicked right outta the door
Four scores, and just some days ago, we lost another solider
He lost his life and now is when we realize that he`ll never grow older
I`m deeply saddened with our deadly habits, game over for this madness
Never, not as long as someone`s in charge thinking he`s the baddest
Through our eyes and cries, outsiders would wonder why
We continue to put ourselves through all this shit and wait to die
SMZ... bare w/ me man, take the podium and let your story get it`s side
Formula steps down.. SMZ gets up and shakes his hand.. the people are once again bickering and now gossiping about what`s been said, but as before, they are brought to a cricket-enticing silence.. for it`s SMZ`s time to speak to the masses..
Life races ahead - but my feet stumble
Shoulders keep cringing from each rumble
It hurts havin’ to watch my childish dreams crumble
as lives are sacrificed inside a concrete jungle
this violent spirit is fungal - it never ever submits
I’m both tired and sick of this old world conglomerate
Whenever a culture lifts someone starts bombing it
Heaven just vomited - now evil strides through our midst
I’ve tried so hard to convince alien eyes of the evidence
but no matter how persuasive my arguments
lives still visit the past tense - an inevitable chain of events
And the bane of common sense as we go on destroying ourselves
finding cruel joy in spent shells flung towards boyish males
consigning them to hells before they can even appreciate Earth
Negate their recent birth while nothing’s gained - nothing of worth
It’s so fucking absurd - unreal - and beyond understanding
Why people will yet and still go on demanding
that *they* should be the ones commanding the course of history
and it’s even worse to see the mental doors closed permanently
causin’ wars that don’t cease although the reasons are long forgotten
but revived so politicians can carry on their plottin’
No one cares for the only begotten - I’m alone in thick mist
struggling hopelessly against the throne of the abyss
But despite all of that - there’s only one plea on my list
I’m begging - please somebody - somebody remember this...
SMZ removes himself from his position.. and Formula walks up to him.. they shake hands.. the citizens clap and shout in unison.. "We Remember".. and then.. it all fades to black..
