I was just coming back home,it was late,i was on my own,
When i see this funny looking kid sitting all alone,
On the pavement,he saw me,pulled out a phone,
Two more punks come,u could feel da tone,
So i turned back,slipped on a stone,
They were over my head before i could take a step,
Asked for my wallet and any other stuff i kept,
Prolly an alcoholic,could smell it in his breath,
I felt small like a hobbit,my brow wet with sweat,
The thing is,i had just gotten my paycheck,
Didn''t wanna waste it,why should they get,
What i worked for,it''s basic,so i leapt,
At the kid who was there from the start,
Should have known as a move that was NOT smart,
I thought they were no bite,just a lotta bark,
The last thing i remember was that it was dark,
There was a struggle,a gun and this kid called Mark,
The other kids called him that,well he got shot,
They ran so i was stuck there on the block,
With the corpse i had shot in a bloody spot,
A gun ewith my fingerprints,i think it was a glock.
Just another tale of blood and gore,
Gunshots,tears,mud and more,
Anyone can be a killer,wanna try?
Aw God!I killed a man,I''ma cry!
So i grab and throw the gun in the river,
It''s March but i still can''t help but shiver,
I remember the discussions,"Man is no life-giver",
So any man who takes another''s life is a sinner.
Well the line keeps getting thinner,
So what do i do?Can''t just go home for dinner!
I just killed a man,i need a plan,
Like how to get rid of this blood on my hand,
I need an alibi,but who would understand?
Shit!A month''s pay,is that worth a man?
Fuck no!They were criminals,a burden on this land,
I did the nation a service,they should put me up on a stand,
And give me awards and a medal and shit,
These kids,they rob and peddle in shit,
And honest people like me go to jail,

So i run to a motel,burn my clothes,
After buying new ones off the roads,
Go back home,forget it ever took place,
So fuck divine justice or what the good book says.

By profession i''m a lawyer,sample the medals on my chest,
Won most of my cases,got a good deal on the rest,
But this new case was like THE final test,
This kid had robbed and killed this man,
Tried to run,was stopped,blood spilled on hand,
Now he was on trial,witnesses filled the stand,
Pointing him out,saying,"He killed the man",
But i was the master of distorting homicide,
Used my contacts,got the kid an alibi,
Argued my ass off till it was alright,
So he was acquitted and then he came at night,
Looking all worried,he said he had to confide,
Something,said the man who died,
Was fronting,he put up a fight.
So he was guilty he did kill da man,
I told him to piss off,that was on his hand,
I didn''t give a shit,everything went by plan,
I don''t judge no one,i just do what i can,
Then he told me "Remember Mark?",
Yeah,the kid you shot in da dark,
I was with him when you shot him in the heart,
Now i''m back to exact vengeance for my brother Mark,
Two shots rang out in the silence of the night,
My self got lost in the violence of the fight,
Next morning on the 6''oclock news,
"Lawyer commits suicide ''coz he fails to choose,
Between wrong and right,he procured a fake alibi",
But no one knew the truth,Mark was still alive.
