Flowery italics - presenting a type of story that's sung,
I'm lying witness to an atrocity in which the jury is hung.
Unbacked opinions in a land where its savage rage is truth
Amongst squalls of feeble minds will reign the advantageous youth
I'm understandably shaken - you can see my eyes in wonderment. .
When listening to make-shift opinions which demonize the government
Authenticity ruined it all; & as soon as my demeanor passes go
I'll collect $200, advancing past the teenage status quo:
Again: authenticity; barely floating, I'm alive but the rumor isn't. .
Morale's in the gutter next to a bloody and dying consumerism
I feel like a saviour; &, my cheeks rosy, I'm bashful and pass on
While, before my eyes, the glass goes from half full to half gone
Molding minds. . Mother Nature won't cry until the needle hits her
So, I'll sacrifice a few for a lot - & take the role 'cerebral Hitler'
Don't second-guess, trust: your prose won't test or rue
& respect the movers, trust again:
we know what's best for you.
