Shit. I dunno. This is pretty close guys. I really like how echelon managed to write a bar with fucked up English and still incorporate the emotion of losing uncle Ben AND turning into a fire punch. Meanwhile Smog also used fucked up English and a concept based on an event that someone else's concept did better with last week. Overall though I got Smog taking this as it read more like a punch. Vote smog.

Okay so with Echelon, I was digging how you didn't give your setup that much filler. You went ahead and said what needed to be said so you could make your punchline have better impact. Because of this, the punchline did come off relatively smooth. The issue here is what the punchline was about. When you mentioned the "whale" in the setup I figured that's where you wanted to take it due to you following it with "this scene is trouble". I can see where you were going with it up to that point because who doesn't see a whale and think to themselves that it isn't going to end well for anybody. But then you brought up Aunt May. Like, I'm not really sure what Peter Parker's legal guardians had to do with this but when you decided to forego the whale concept and go with the workaholic angle the misdirection totally backfired on you because you self-destructed without having a setup that worked with and for the punchline. Smog was great as usual, he didn't need to do much but still went at Echelon hard.
