yes its free. you just go to the website and download the client. the only thing u spend money on is things like skins and if u want to unlock a champion to use early. but you can play completely for free.

it's really not up for discussion. i based my statement on facts. fact LoL is the largest game in the world. fact it has consistently more viewers, streamers, players. fact there is a vastly larger competitive scene worldwide.

what are you basing your statement on ? if you can show me where any statistic points otherwise then ok.. maybe i'll entertain a discussion. if u like Dota better that's fine. i still think it's faggot shit. it's like battlefield and call of duty. some fags like battlefield way more. idk why. but they do. but that doesn't make it better in any way. nor does it take away the fact that competitively cod shits on BF in every way. same philosophy.

I am 28 and I play League. My friends are around my age and also play League. I was in the top 14th percentile in the world in League of Legends during season 3 last year. I was paid to play Counter-Strike 1.6 from 17-19. I have participated in regional tournaments in Dota 1, League of Legends, and professional Counter-Strike 1.6 tournaments. The most intensive game of the 3 to be good at is League, then 1.6, then Dota 1. I have played Dota 2 for about 25 hours. I was instantly decent at it; probably due to familiarity and having moba mechanics already down. The only difference in skill between a Dota 2 player and a League player is time put in to the game.

More people just choose to put their time into League because they consider it a superior product.
