Catching Fire
In a forest of trees, for as far as I can see
There's a sea of people, hiding behind their leaves
Its actually quite surreal imagine that its like a field
There's nothing left but ash, and thats exactly how I feel
Where there used to be an abundance of life, there now lays empty
A barren wasteland, vacuous aura encompasses those who stay trendy
Its pure evil the way they lure people to act in a matter of fashion
Abstract tactics and obscure egos cause collateral damage
Its the spark, the initial source of energy that ignites the first tree in the forest
Now the second tree in the forest could have very easily ignored this
But catching fire is what we do it just happens naturally
Chemical reactions and sudden synapses happen casually
What was once a single spark has resulted in an entire forest ablaze
Like they're hungry for the flame; malnourished and crazed it sure is a shame
Whatever happened to eccentric ego's? I guess they just up and left the people
This is the zombie apocalypse and you all know that this ends up lethal
You gotta do it on your own to deserve an ounce of my respect
The soul is a burning sun, which the personality reflects
But if the wind carries the moonlight that's cascaded by the waves
It'll ripple through your veins as you wade towards your grave
You're the fucking epitome of someone else's greed
A long list of corporations that you've helped succeed
You're the infinite echo that perpetuates inside of ya dreams
On an intricate level that demonstrates its not what it seems
The flame is a flickering fluke slithering through every chute
Severing you from the very things that you were intended to do
Its like you zigzag through life the way you cuttin the corners out
at every turn you leave a new shell of your former self
