I like the orb that you have behind the font a lot and the 3D look to the text is sick! For the type of logo it is I don't really have anything to say about it improvement wise because it all fits together well, maybe a little bit of color to the font? But either way this is dope though man, you did a nice job on it, would have been awesome to see it like this in the SOTW!
its looks much better. I didnt know you could use transparent bg's, thats good to know. good job though its simple but it gets the job done.. but I still feel like its missing something. idk maybe a little more color or something to fill the blank space a little. just to make it jump out at you a little more. nonetheless its a dope logo. I was a fan of the original one as well.

the orb was a tutorial i found but the reflections and everything else was added after. @Vail the text was pretty simple to do just make the less visible layer of text behind the first layer of text and make the 2nd layer 1 or 2 sizes smaller and place in the center of the 1st layer :P

I like this concept of an opaque mystical orb, looks really cool. The text is okay. something doesnt seem right. I know. its that reflection you have going down, its wrong, the white one. You have a dark shadow on a dimensional plain, and then the orb reflection is just straight down when it should follow the floor you imagined with the shadow.

a black shadow set at a 10% transparency on the letters would have been a nice compliment to the 3-D sphere.

If you're new to graphics it's not awful, at least it's not super played
If you're not new to graphics it's a bit basic, typeface is sort of "blah" and loses quality when you tried to shape it around the sphere. Three different shadows that don't really coincide with each other.
I only point out the negative because that's how you get better. Keep working man.
