Omertà Collection's "This Is The End"
Kurt Cobain by Truth Iscariot
Jim Morrison by Antihero
Electric madness stuck in my mind like shards of glass
Teenage angst bored the path through the earth so fast
My teeth clacked. And I was too high to feel the pain
In retrospect, I’m glad. The briskness of fame
Was supersonic, resulting in a constant rain
The thunder rumbling – scared my happiness to death
Mind and soul have made it but what’s left?
When your soul is lying dead in a Seattle gutter
And each word spoken, written, or uttered
Was a plea for help…And they all just sing along…
So I said to Hell with keeping clean, the chanting teens
My humble beginning in Aberdeen…to hell with it all
An age old addiction has rang in it’s call – I answered, enthralled
Who thought the savior of Rock N’ Roll would fall…
By his own hands? Not battling taboos or unrighteous standards
Not carrying Generation X’s banner toward the war of generations
But in the vast shadow of sensation – cowering with a needle
With the injection came the crash of a steeple – masses of leaderless people
Cry as the shotgun sings into the day after and I bleed into the following years
Mixing with the tears of adoring fans who simply didn’t understand
My Hurt…
Kurt Cobain.
I've burned every bridge and turned towards risk,
endured the senseless worth of whores and since
my words are ignorant bliss, I squirm until the war inside ends.
My moonlight drive will soon die; my glass castle is shattered,
the blue sky will commit suicide - the last battle won't matter.
This is the end, to all my friends, wondering where it begins,
we can continue to pretend and bend merit, or cherish our sins.
Every drug that I've dropped, to find love and touch God,
buried enough life to stop time and brush my judgement off.
Fame wasn't the answer to the deranged cancer in my thoughts,
chased away the questions as the flame in my lantern was lost.
Sitting in this aquatic tomb, I'm wishing for an exotic muse to kiss,
shifting through melodic rues, slipping into erotic swoons; I twitch.
My spirit slithers through my esophagus, ominous, a shiver blooms,
my lip quivers like a toddler often does, my monument's a Winters gloom.
Breaking through the other side, I'm escaping wounds that wither too,
mistaking a comfortable light for the gracing hues of hindered truth.
Before I leave my origin, I adore her as she weeps for Jim Morrison.

Whatever, Fuck You
Re: Omertà Collection's "This Is The End"
This was dope guys. Your styles really mesh well together. The topic was cool, not that original, but the writing was top notch. The flow was on point throughout both verses and the transition between them was seamless. Both of you handled your characters well and I enjoyed the way you fleshed them out. Though, you could have tied the two together more so than by tragedy alone, and gave the piece a third, unifying element, but that is just me being picky. This was a great read you two. We need to keep this forum packed with dope writers and dope pieces, so keep bringing that heat.

Re: Omertà Collection's "This Is The End"
this was a beast joint....... the collab is so n sync you could be a boy band lol nah the first verse hit hard poetic landscaping kurt cobains mindframe in 3rd party narration is so poetic but still appealing enough to capture anyone as an ode in hip hop form
the second verse went off a bit didn't mesh as well but not in a flaw form but in its own poetic hip hop perspective the mentality shifts a bit but all the elements mixed well enough to make this a rare find for me id like to see more collab work between you's guys (that's right new York accent lol)
