The same way it’s always been told the meek are prey for the bold

Long ago my family fell victim to the life like dominoes
I couldn’t worry about power rangers or honor rolls
Had to worry more about the powder on moms nose
The flowers which never grow, the insurmountable pedestal
This place is the shrine of pestilence,
I see the peace one known has been all but wrecked again
To block out harsh images I close my eyes and step within
That stopped working so I learned to pick up pad and pen
Lyrically scribe the shit, viciously cry to it, misty eyed from the sins
I had to write and flip….out like I was on my Bones and Thugz shit
Flip out like I was on my big Cuz the notorious blood shit

This realities got me buggin’ and the family names got me thuggin’
Shits changed since the days I longed to watch cartoons and the rising moons
