you dont have to use words you dont actually use lol...but it helps.
It basically means (to me, at least) broaden your vocabulary. Use words that not any simpleton with a mouth uses on the daily.
They mean you are being predictable. There is a vast variety of words out there. Not all of them will be for you, but you'll find ones that appeal to your personality and incorporate them in your work.

the purpose of this shit isnt to be a real nigga....
the purpose of this shit is to create art....and art is limitless....no boundaries....its a GREAT idea to broaden your vocabulary...if thats not what your aim is, thats fine too....but youre not taking anything in while doing this shit...you can learn a lot for yourself that you otherwise didnt know, ALL due to writing raps....and i dunno about you, but me personally, i love learning new things...
and to be quite honest, if you only use such a small amount of words in real life, that people complain about the lack of such in your raps, you could probably use a learnin....

When I said words I never use I just meant like in everyday conversation I'm not gonna throw up big words or synonyms that allude to the word I really meant.
