    garageband mastering/mixing help

Can someone point me to a tutorial on how to master/mix rap vocals in garageband? I've looked on youtube and they aren't really for rap...
Also, is there a better program I could use that is easier/better for mastering/mixing vocals? Preferably free of course but I'll spend some money.

mixing is the same process, regardless what genre of music you make... any tutorials you find that concern mixing vocals will help you... you need to learn about compression, equalization, and reverb at least... if I were you, I'd google and do some reading to really understand those areas first... there's lots of helpful info already on this site, you just need to take a little time to look... I offered some help recently in this thread:

that will help anyone just startin' out...
