With all due respect to Gwap, I literally cannot understand how he got a vote in that battle. I'm not saying 'y'all are nuts' or whatever, cos even heads I really respect thought it was close, but I just couldn't understand it at all. He had a couple lines I quite liked but I've seen him drop MUCH better stuff.hahahaha
I'm just mad out of tune with people's tastes in this league right now. Every battle I look in, I check out people's votes and see stuff I consider really poor being given amazing feedback. There's lots of good stuff being dropped in this league, and some of it gets good feedback, but man, I see ROFLs and LOLs and LMAOs under what I consider to be the absolute blandest, simplest, most poorly worded shit.
I'm obviously outnumbered on this one, and I'm not saying I'm right - maybe I'm just stuck in a dated mindset - but it means that when I'm writing it feels like a fucking lottery. I honestly think if I dropped what I consider to be a much shittier verse it would get better feedback.
yeah, that's true, kinda inevitable though i guess. hard for newer heads to know whats played or not in terms of making good votes. you've just had a lot of shorter battles lately, and people are kinda formulaic for what they look for (i.e. that one bar that i'm so so sick of where people mention whoever so-in-so lost to last week, and that's all - or that other bar where you just say 'you DIDNT EVEN PLACE IN THE TOURNEY' - those are guaranteed to be liked
