Its the people that do it in every battle that is ridiculous. If you see every battle ever as close, you probably should quit.

Like Bags says, voting is obviously subjective so these debates are doomed to failure. That said, the two things being discussed here - pretend closeness and harsh votes - aren't the only two options. Even if one guy gets totally outclassed, you can give feedback and make that clear without having to tear his verse to shreds.
