When I heard some of his Section 80 songs when he was on HipHopNation I thought he was mad whack but now that i've listen'd to him more i think hes good. can't really compare to cole cuz there two different styles IMO.
well not really, they're both lyricists... they both stand out with their lyrics. i give it to Kendrick though, i feel like J coles dumbing it down for the industry

God damnit Kendrick is dope.
Like if he stays on his game and stays relevant and keeps producing quality albums, i think he could legit be one of the illest ever.
He just has to work on a few things but he's still mad young so he has time, hopefully he just stays on his game.

Kendrick Lamar is the better lyricist...Cole has better emotions and delivery. Who I'd rather listen too honestly depends on the mood I'm in..if I'm just chillin it's Cole. If I'm feelin like I wanna listen to some lyrical shit I'm bumpin Kendrick...everyone compares them but they're both dope in their own ways. Can't go wrong with either

I know that kendrick is a more skillful writer,
but cole is the better artist, IMO
I'd agree.
But hopefully Kendrick can change that and start making some good sounding songs but still keep the lyrics hes known for. One of the things he needs to work on imo.
