Sometimes I lie alone awake on a late night
I wrap myself in a blanket of pain and turn off the lights
It's abyss, its obscure, I'm unsure about truth
At any moment in time I could end it all, that is true
If I do, I'm through, I say as I'm seeping out booze
Then I ask myself questions there's no answer to
Spiritually confused
It ain't too bad, what the hell do I know, I ain't got a clue
I'm just a mindless fool, like the rest of you are too
Rude to the skies I cry out for help
My heart cries, my lungs are about to pop
Others have dealt with worse why can't I just stop
Are my prayers to God out of cowardly fear
The thoughts spear through my head, lord make them disappear
Time's passing by, it's almost surreal
What's my purpose in life, why am I here?
I feel that's a fact unknown and it's undeniable
That's real, what people tell us is unreliable
People that hurt us and people that lie
Living a lie, committing crimes for a dime
Is it worth it
In the end, we all suffer, we're all born to die
Pleasure and pain are what keep us alive

Debating contrasting opinions of life
Despite
Minorities fighting for freedom
They get shit from the people that supposedly don't need them
You can't see them but they're pissing on you and you don't know
Laughing at Mumia as he's sent to death row
Racism doesn't exist, lets not lie to our people
Obama's a poster boy, a marketing ploy, a product of evil
Puppet figure, controlled, he does what he's told
Screw you, screw him, screw the young and the old
Truth is, they don't care about you, they're rolling in gold
Society rules you kid, let the pressure unfold
And yo, don't skew the facts on Obama, nothing's changed and you know it
Though, let's not live in the past, I won't blame Bush, we all let them blow it
Back to the point, guess who's gunna run a country to shambles and eat you up like a cannibal
Make you work like an animal
Whoever's pulling strings and showing you things on tv
The same people who give you a gun and turn their heads as you bleed
Evil creeping onto our souls, our future's in smoke
Corporations manipulating our pockets, government help is a joke
I cry out for freedom, as my palms grasp the bars
I can't look up at the sky, there's no hope in searching for stars
We've had enough people, do what's right
Read between the lines, lets fight, and unite
We owe it to our children to give them a better life
Don't let them ignore the population, let us give a stop to government crimes
It's time to take whats ours.
