is the M-Audio MobilePre USB Mobile Preamp and Audio Interface a good audio interface with built in pre amp for an at2020 not usb mic? cuz i want to stop useing usb mics and ive been told i need to get a phantom audio interface with built in pre amps and this has that but idk what to look for and everything i read on the topic is very ambiguis on what specific brands or traits to look for...it says pretty much that every pair of mic and pre amp sounds dif...so would u guys say this is bad product or worth the 160 to buy it?

Get the m-audio fast track pro or the m-box 3 mini i don't think the mobile pre has phantom power I had a homie that had one

I have the moble pre with protools. Yes it has phantom power, and yes I love it. I'm bout to drop a track i recorded with the moble pre, rode nt1a, and pro tools 9 if u want to see the quality. Not the best at mixing but you get the idea.

the MobilePre is about as good as you can get in that price range... don't expect any spectacular results, but it is clean and crisp sounding and you'll appreciate it...
