Well, yeah, i get what youre saying. I think both had influence in the Hiphop world. Its just that Jay-Z is almost at his end of his career, while Kanye is still rising. I respect both of them and I like both of them.They both did their part in the world and thats good

the obvious answer would be Kanye then....pop music itself is larger than rap listeners....makes it to where no matter what genre it originates from, it can leak into any genre of listeners playlists....ive heard Kanye playing on rock stations, but never have heard Jay-Z doing such...
while everyone knows who Jay-Z is, and he was a huge part of pop culture, i think that Kanye has acquired fans where Jay-Z couldnt....he also just comes off as more of a pop figure than Jay does....
