So i recently started going to the shooting range and the last gun i shot was the Glock 19. They say its the best gun to own and im looking to buy.
Whats everyone else holdin?
Any suggestions or tips on which one to get? Im using it for home protection.

i gotta keep it concealable as well though. I may take it with me on campin trips and things of that nature so It cant be something like a shotty.

I like mine... its got some weight to it as my clips hold 20.
Haven't had a problem with it in the year and a half that I've had it.

i been holding off on getting a gun, as i'd like to finish building my pc first.
but when I do, like i've said in other threads, it's going to be a 1911.
shotgun is the best home defense option.

How you want to spend? Handguns are a hobby of mine.
Taurus 1911 would be a good 9mm. ILL's taurus is a piece of shit... fine for at home, but if you take it to the range, shit can fail when you need it.
Glocks are nice but there are better for someone who is either A) Non-military B) lacks training C) JUST at home defense.
If you have some training and know how to shoot proper, glock isn't bad. Still there is more stuff imo.

Piece of shit? No. They're not target guns.. that's for sure. They're home protection guns. Guns that when needed in an emergency, will be used at close quarters. I love my 24/7.
Plus they got that intimidation factor.. so if for some reason you miss your target, the fucker is loud enough that it should still scare anyone away. Shit's one of the loudest handguns I've ever shot.

@Ryan, if you can't put 800 rounds through it consistently every year, it's a piece of shit in my mind. But Taurus does make some quality products... some of the best 9mm in the game.
