The have the heatshrink one in 25 foot but it's $37. I don't really mind paying the extra 12 or 13 but is heatshrink really that much better?
I prefer cables with replaceable ends, that way you can fix 'em later on instead of spendin' full price to buy new ones...

a lot of cables come with the ends permanently attached, either with some kinda shrinkwrap or moulded rubber bullshit so that you can't access the solder points...

cut the connector off, gently cut into cable casing to get to the 3 pins, then solder the pins to a new connector. It's not rocket science.
