Eh Socom... less boring to me fight games dont last.....
Socom..MK is only cool really if you have a bunch of friends to play with. Other than that it gets old quickly just doing a lot of the same thing. Socom to me would get more play time in the longtime

MK, because you can buy 20 other games similar to Socom that have come out in the last couple years, but nothing pushes an M rating to being damn near an AO rating like the new MK...I love blood and gore in my games though *shrug*
oh...and the beta reviews for Socom 4 are pretty much saying it's ass even though it IS a beta...plus the issue of controls...not to mention wouldn't you need friends to play this too? since most games like this are played multiplayer online

the new SOCOM is awful.
i wasn't a big fan of the other ones but i played on the beta for 4 and it's gonna be a giant waste of time/money from what i've seen. i def won't be playing it in the future. the MK on the other hand is dope. who doesn't like some nice nostalgia
I disagree. I was in the beta and it was pretty fun. There was a few issues that needed to be ironed out like the camera, grenade arc, accuracy, and the mic but other than that it was pretty solid. They did change socom a lot tho and it's more noob friendly. Which i hate but it's still fun to play.

and honestly yea i agree. i would buy neither. i'd rent mortal kombat. there's better games coming out pretty soon then either of those.
My lil cousin went to the midnight release for mortal kombat....games pretty nice...still not spending full price on this though
get portal 2 on ps3 instead, not only do you get the ps3 copy but you also get a pc & mac copy, also you get some steam features and cross platform matches with pc/mac users, you can also see your steam friends list on ps3, chat etc and save your games from steam cloud and continue it on ps3
