The world now days is not as it should be
I'm young and I can even see that.
My parents sit on the couch
watching the TV
Listening to the media, the news and the commercials,
Sitting idly by while their government sells them.
This isn't America, its become much worse.
No one stands up for a cause
no one rallies
Your voting is based on parties, no personal cause.
your votes are overwritten by an electoral college.
You feel good about changing the nation.
Please wake up America
Look what we've become?
Our rights get stepped on flat in our face.
Elections are pieced together like a puzzle.
our government takes away retirement.
Lets war veterans beg on the street.
Lacks the capacity to accept others into our borders.
Starts false wars.
Kills off our hopes on 9/11
and slowly moves in for the kill as I type.
Yet we sit here reading this
Taking no action against our oppressors.
It doesn't need to be violent,
but if it needs to, America will eventually do so.
It should be a call across the nation of people
waking up to whats going on around them.
Take a stand, protect your freedom.
Buy a gun, eat some apple pie.
Get that Chevy you always wanted.
and for once live the American dream.
