pleaseeeeeee i wish gangs where on some community service idealist shit this guy is talking about. but pointing out this supposed original intent of these gangs, is irrelevant when you put it up against what the reality of what they are really about now. What they became means more than what they where supposed to be.

I guarantee if we could build a machine that could read peoples intentions in joining gangs, almost none of them would be on some "i want to help my community" shit.

and even worse, if anyone saw the current state of gangs, and thought "I want to join, cause this is the best way i could possibly help my community" they are fuckin stupid. even if some OG told you that shit, can you honestly say that was why YOU joined? i doubt it.

I agree with you 100% I didn't join for the right reasons but when you have the right people in your corner and you see the logic of it all explained better than your previous elaborations it makes you think...

I was 13 when I joined, I was young and stupid, had no clue as to what I was getting into, broke down my life and strayed on a more successful path, did time, son was born, joined the military, daughter born, deployed blah blah blah....

....what I have did for my community is not much the only thing I can really say I helped with is buiding a Recreational Center where I grew up.
